В рамках Фотобиеннале 2012 в Мультимедиа Арт Музее пройдет выставка «Парк» японского фотографа Кохей Йосиюки.
Японский фотограф Кохей Йосиюки (р.1946) снимал свой проект в токийских парках Синдзюку, Йойоги и Аояма в 1970-х годах, у него был 35-мм фотоаппарат, чувствительная к инфракрасным лучам пленка и вспышка. Он фотографировал людей, собиравшихся в этих парках ночью для тайных встреч, а также множество зрителей, которые прятались в кустах и подсматривали – а иногда и участвовали – во встречах пар. Грубые, словно любительские, образы фотографий не только раскрывают скрытые сексуальные подвиги часто гомосексуальных пар – они также служат хроникой неизвестной нам Японии.
«Многим парам не было известно о том, что за ними наблюдают»- пишет Йосиюки. «Вуайеристы наблюдали за парами с расстояния, затем медленно подходили ближе на столько, насколько это было возможно. Но некоторые из вуайеристов предпринимали попытку прикоснуться к женщине, что усугубляло ситуацию, и могли возникнуть проблемы».
Впервые фотографии были показаны в 1979 году в Komai Gallery в Токио. Для выставки они были распечатаны в большом формате, свет в галерее был выключен, а каждый посетитель получал фонарик. Таким образом Йосиюки хотел воссоздать атмосферу ночного парка. Все отпечатки были уничтожены после выставки, серия же была опубликована в 1980 году в виде книги.
Во втором томе «Фотокниги. История» британский фотограф Мартин Парр характеризует серию «Парк» как «блестящий образец социального документа, превосходно зафиксировавшего одиночество, тоску и отчаяние, с которыми часто связаны половые и человеческие отношения в жестокой метрополии вроде Токио».
По словам нью-йоркского галериста Йосси Мило, «с новыми технологиями, подразумевающими слежку за каждым, возникает новая политическая атмосфера, актуализирующая проблематику privacy, и культурный климат, одержимый личной жизнью обычных людей, поэтому тема подглядывания и надзора невероятно актуальна и важна…».
